Walker Evans is simply one of the best off-road driver ever. Walker retired from full time racing in 2000 but he is still highly involved in the off-road world and does a lot of personal appearances. Walker and his partner, Randy Anderson, own Walker Evans Racing which manufactures off-road shocks and wheels.

Throughout his 30 year racing career, Walker was applauded for his exhilarating racing skills and his informal, gentlemanly manner. Walker always felt right at home in the cockpit of his racing trucks - where his performance suited his nickname "The Legend". With 142 victories and 21 championship titles to his name, Walker is one of the most accomplished competitors in the sport of off-road racing.

Walker got his first sample of off-road racing when he drove a Rambler Sedan in the 1969 Baja 500 for actor James Garner's American Motor Team. During his career, Walker has driven Dodge's, Chevrolet's, and Ford's. As they say, the rest is history.

One of Walker's favorite sayings is ""it takes a motor to get my heart started"". To keep himself busy, he drives a Polaris RZR, rock crawling vehicles, off-road racing buggies, motorcycles and flies his own plane.

Walker has won the Baja 1000 nine times in his specially built trucks. He was the first driver in off-road racing history to win that grueling race overall in a truck. His other multiple desert victories include well-known races like the Mint 400, the Baja 500, the Parker 400 and the Fireworks 250. He also has many victories in short course and stadium racing events.
