September 1915, William F. OëNeil, ìW.O.î and Winfred E. Fouse, found the General Tire and Rubber Company. The general tire develops rubber flaps for truck tires. Until General tires opens its 6th plant, equipped for full radial tyre production, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. They re-enter off road racing and introduced a new logo to represent the brand for both the passenger/light truck and the commercial vehicle tire division. For that past 100+ years, we've brought you tires that go faster, grip harder, last longer. And we're just getting started.
